How to Hire a Wedding Band
We have some tips – whether you book us or not! When selecting a wedding band in Toronto, you want to be sure they have the right experience, repertoire, and personality to match your style and preferences. We play a blend of jazz, pop and RnB – if that’s what you’re looking for, keep reading.
Look for a band that specializes in weddings. You can also read online reviews or ask for recommendations from friends and family. You can see all of our wedding band reviews on Google. Also, make sure you can request songs for your first dance or other important moments.
Another factor to consider is the band’s equipment and setup. The band should have quality instruments and a sound system that can handle the acoustic needs of your venue and the number of guests. They should also be familiar with the timing and logistics of your wedding venue and able to coordinate with other vendors such as the planning team, decor and DJ.
Of course, the personality and professionalism of the band members can make a big difference in how well they connect with your guests and create a positive atmosphere. Look for bands with good communication skills, are friendly and approachable, and can engage the audience without being too pushy or intrusive. We started as a group of four professional musicians building something from the ground up. While our team has grown, the original members are still active in the group today because we all have a say in how the business operates and care deeply about our work.
When you’ve found a few potential wedding bands in Toronto that fit your criteria, try to watch them perform in person. A live performance will give you a better idea of their style, talent, and compatibility with your wedding vision. If you can’t watch them in person, check out their videos online. Whatever you do, try not to wait too long to secure your favourite band, as they may have limited availability during peak wedding season.
